Luxury packaging for luxurious Easter eggs

We were honoured to be chosen to produce the luxury packaging for Harrods exclusive Easter eggs for 2017. The three limited edition eggs were literally a work of art, with each design created by the brilliant and much sought after artist Camille Walala, who is renowned for her tribal pop art.

Award-winning chocolatiers, Baravelli’s, used Harrods special house blend to produce just 12 eggs – four of each design. Emma Baravelli, then used her artistic talents to interpret Camille’s designs, and painstakingly painted each egg by hand. It was a privilege to be asked by Harrods to provide the packaging to showcase these magnificent masterpieces, which were priced at £350 each.

To create maximum impact and visibility of the eggs, as well as a limited edition print of Camille’s artwork, we created a large display window to the front and back. So as not to detract from the striking artwork, the graphics on the box needed to be ‘clean’ and uncomplicated. We therefore worked closely with Harrods’ creative team who specified white uncoated paper with copper foil blocking to pick out the Harrods logo and copy. The lid was then placed on the presentation display base and secured by magnets.

Naturally it was wonderful to see our limited edition production of just 12 pieces prominently displayed in one of the world’s most famous department stores.
